Happy Halloween from Syren Latex!

Does anyone know if/where you can buy a similar rubbersuit as Tate/rubberman has? I wanna hang it up my room and pretend that he is there. If so, get in my ask!

Rubberman’s latex catsuit was made by Syren and you can purchase your own suit through our website! The Rubberman suit can be created with our men’s latex zip-through catsuit and a rubber hood. Pleasant dreams!

Art of Television Costume Design Exhibit: FIDM Displays TV Costumes

Aside from being popular television shows, what do “New Girl,” “Game of Thrones,” and “Downton Abbey” have in common?

Fantastic costumes!

The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has partnered with the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) to celebrate small-screen costumes in the sixth annual exhibit, “The Outstanding Art of Television Costume Design,” celebrating exquisite costume design.

The exhibition features the drool-worthy work of costume designers nominated for this year’s Primetime Emmys. Attendees can see more than 75 costumes from 16 shows, movies, and mini-series.

The nominated series are “Boardwalk Empire,” “Game of Thrones,” “Once Upon a Time,” and “Downton Abbey,” while the nominated mini-series or movies are “American Horror Story,” “Great Expectations,” and “Hemingway & Gellhorn.” In addition to costumes from these shows, the exhibit features work from “Sons of Anarchy,” “Pretty Little Liars,” “Smash,” “New Girl,” “Pan Am,” “Revenge,” and more.

With so many shows represented, you can see everything from the latex S&M suit that Dylan McDermott wore in “American Horror Story” (which apparently rips easily) to the red skater-style dress that Zooey Deschanel wears in the 0pening sequence of “New Girl.”

It was just another day at the office for Dylan McDermott.

"There’s a place in Los Angeles called Syren. It’s like three floors of just S&M gear. I spent an afternoon there, and they fitted me for a latex suit. I had to lube up, put it on and be fitted for it,” McDermott says.

What, exactly, does a full-body rubber ensemble feel like?

Steamy, McDermott says. “It’s hot. My dream is that every home in America will have one. It has to be black and shiny. You can’t have a lilac rubber suit,” he says, laughing.

It’s all part and parcel of starring in Ryan Murphy’s latest TV spectacle, the freaky, disquieting American Horror Story on FX (Wednesday, 10 p.m. ET/PT). On the show, McDermott’s Ben tries to save his fractured marriage by moving his family from Boston to the City of Angels, into a new home that proves to be haunted. “The weirdness leaks into everything else because that’s what you’re occupying your thoughts with all day long,” he says of shooting the show. “We’re all a little bit strange because we have to be.”

When he’s not immersed in latex, McDermott says his life is more boring than bawdy.
