Continuing with my pinhole camera experiments, I shot this one of my girlfriend Liz using available light. This time I used a tripod because the exposure was around 20 seconds. Normally I like to do handheld, but that’s way too long to get something good. Dress by Syren.com
Justine Joli, Los Angeles 2006
Justine fabulously wears a Syren latex ensemble. Justine and I had known each other for years but never actually shot anything until about 6 years after initially meeting. Sometimes shoots just take a while to happen. We shot this at my buddy Dave Naz’s house in Laurel Canyon. Justine was standing against an outdoor glass sliding door, and I had to get very narrow and thin so you couldn’t see my reflection behind her in the window. After this personal shoot, I started shooting her regularly for Stockroom/Syren.
